Biography

A native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Lindsay Francis made her way to the Midwest in 2005 after receiving her Civil Engineering degree from her beloved HBCU, Southern University and A&M college in Baton Rouge. 

For nearly 14 years, Lindsay worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) and served in several roles in Construction, Traffic Control Design/Studies and Traffic Management & Operations.  From 2011-2019, she served as the Traffic Engineer for Kansas City Scout, one of the United States’ largest and recognized Traffic Management Systems, which provides traffic management for the Kansas City Metropolitan Area as well as Interstate 70 from St. Louis, Missouri to the Kansas/Colorado border.  In 2019, Lindsay joined one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, WSP USA, as a Lead Traffic and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to consult on ITS, Traffic Incident Management (TIM), Traffic System Management & Operations (TSMO) and data-driven projects across the region.

Lindsay is passionate about helping to ensure the safe and reliable use of existing and planned transportation infrastructure for all modes and by all users.  She is always looking for practical ways to solve new and ongoing transportation issues through collaboration, innovation and technology.
