Webinar 1 - Putting Safety into Practice: Lessons from Kansas Counties and Cities
July 14, 2026 | 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Join the inaugural Kansas Drive To Zero webinar as local transportation leaders share how they transformed safety studies and plans into meaningful improvements on their roadways. Representatives from two Kansas counties and one city will discuss their experiences implementing recommendations from a Traffic Engineering Assistance Program (TEAP) study, advancing countywide edge line striping efforts identified through a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP), and using a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) plan to identify and support the implementation of Blood on Board programs that improve emergency response capabilities.
This peer exchange will provide practical insights into project development, funding, partnerships, challenges encountered, and lessons learned along the way. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with presenters through facilitated discussion and audience Q&A.
Whether you are developing a safety plan, considering implementation strategies, or looking for proven approaches from your peers, this webinar will offer valuable perspectives from communities taking action to advance the Kansas Drive To Zero vision.
